Launch of 2023 SEYH Awards
We are delighted to announce the launch of our annual SEYH Awards. Applications are now open and the event will be taking place on the evening of the 7th March 2024 at The Hospitium in York.
This year we have an amazing 8 awards that are open to social enterprises across the Yorkshire and Humber Area. These are:-
- Small Social Enterprise of the Year (turnover under £200,000 per annum) – sponsor TBA
- Large Social Enterprise of the Year (turnover over £200,000 per annum) – sponsored by Wrigleys
- Social Investment Award – sponsored by Big Society Capital
- Social Impact Award – sponsored by Key Fund
- Start Up Award – sponsor TBA
- Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award – sponsor TBA
- Innovative Use of Technology Award – sponsored by ESP Projects
- Environmental Award – sponsored by Utility Aid

Start Up Award
This award is open to social enterprises which have been operating for less than two years as of December 2019, and which have a plan to develop their business with a clear vision and growth model.

This award is open to individuals working within a social enterprise.
Winner – Ali Ward
The Social Investment Award
This award is for social enterprises who have been successful in securing funds to advance their social mission.

The Social Impact Award
This award is open to social enterprises that are able to clearly demonstrate, evidence and communicate their social impact with their stakeholders.

The award recognises organisations who have demonstrated an outstanding track record of delivery, growth and innovation.

The Tech for Good Award
This award is open to social enterprises which have been trading for two years or more, and which use technology to deliver products or services in line with their social / environmental mission.
Winner – Bright Box Makerspace
Environmental Social Enterprise Award
This award is open to social enterprises operating in the environmental sector for more than 2 years.
